Linking Families Therapy Group is a team of highly trained mental health professionals ready to serve you. We offer a diverse range of treatment models and a variety of specialty areas. Linking Families has counselors and social workers available to meet with children, teens, adults, couples and families.
Rick Skidmore, LISW-S
Rick Skidmore graduated from the University of Toledo with a Bachelor's Degree in Education. He then completed a Master of Science in Social Administration at Case Western Reserve University. Rick is an Independently Licensed Social Worker with a Supervisory Endorsement.
Rick is qualified to assess drug and alcohol abuse and addiction. Clients may participate in drug and alcohol treatment with Rick at the Family Links Counseling office.
Rick has extensive experience in counseling couples, individuals of all ages, and families.
Rick has more than 30 years experience with inpatient, outpatient, residential, and community mental health.
Jennifer Clymer, LPCC-S
Jennifer (Jenny) received a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Taylor University in 2005. She went on to attend Bowling Green State University and received a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling in 2007. Jennifer is an Ohio Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with a Supervisory Endorsement.
Jenny specializes in working with children, teens, and young adults. Prior to joining the team at Liinking Families, she worked for eight years as a youth therapist and supervisor at a community mental health agency in the Toledo Area, serving individuals ages 6 to 17, young adults, and their families.
Jenny has a strong interest in treating a variety of emotional and behavioral issues including anxiety, anger, depression, ADHD, adjustment/transitional issues, communication and relationship issues, and trauma. She has also received training in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
Peg Kubiak, LISW-S
Peg may be a little camera shy, but don't let that fool you!
Peg Kubiak received a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Lourdes College and completed her Master’s Degree in Social Work at Case Western Reserve University. Peg is an Ohio Licensed Independent Social Worker with Supervisory Status.
Peg has worked in the mental health field for 15 years and has extensive training in Individual, Family, and Group Counseling, Mental Health and Addictions Counseling, Grief Counseling, Psychosocial Interventions, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT). Peg is certified in several evidenced based therapeutic models including: Functional Family Therapy (FFT), Multisystemic Therapy (MST), and Seven Challenges. She is also a certified trauma therapist with a focus on TF-CBT and CPT.
Peg continues to work closely with the Lucas County Juvenile Court and other community mental health agencies, assessing, diagnosing and treating a variety of emotional and behavioral issues including anxiety, anger, depression, ADD/ADHD, grief, adjustment issues, communication and other relationship issues and LGBTQ issues.
Maureen Mohney, LSW
Maureen Mohney has been a social worker for over 20 years. She began her work in the emergency room and intensive care unit of a hospital in western Pennsylvania, assisting individuals and families that often experienced significant trauma. She then transitioned to director of social work for a skilled nursing facility. After moving to Toledo, she served in a variety of roles with a local chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, ranging from client assistance, advocacy, to Director of Programs. Maureen is working as an AOD therapist with a community mental health agency, using a variety of methods to serve her clients. Maureen has been trained in Prolonged Exposure and EMDR to target and treat trauma. Maureen has a Bachelor of Social Work degree from Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania, a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Toledo, and is a Licensed Social Worker by the State of Ohio.
